X-Rays
Our pets can’t tell us where they hurt so sometimes we have to be able to take a good look on the inside. Veterinarians do this with the help of radiographs (x-rays). We can diagnosis a wide variety of issues without invasive procedures. Some of the reasons we take radiographs:
- Tumors
- Accessing the heart and lungs
- Broken bones
- Bladder stones
- Determining the location of a foreign object your pet maybe swallowed
- Evaluating hip and elbow issues
- Performing OFA radiographs
We have the ability to take the radiographs and review them with the veterinarian during your visit and decide proper treatment.
Dental Radiology
With our dental x-ray machine we are able to identify problems with teeth that you can’t always see with the naked eye. It gives us insight to the health of the tooth roots and helps us determine if a tooth can stay or needs to be extracted. When you pick up your pet from its dental cleaning we can go over the x-rays with you if they were taken.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound is also a great tool when radiographs are just not enough. We call in our board certified radiologist Dr. Karen Morrow to perform this type of diagnostics right in our clinic.
