Our Veterinarians
Christopher Thompson, DVM
Dr. Thompson founded Thompson Animal Hospital in 1993. He has practiced veterinary medicine in Lakeland, Florida since soon after he graduated from Ross University, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. He is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and Florida Veterinary Medical Association. In addition to family pets like cats and dogs, Dr. Thompson enjoys helping reptiles and other exotic animals live long and healthy lives.
Summer Jenks, DVM
Dr. Summer Jenks, is a 2003 graduate of the University of Florida. She performed a 13 month small animal medical and surgical internship at a 24 hour referral clinic in Hollywood, FL. She has a special interest in diagnostics, geriatrics and dentistry.
Karen L. Morrow, DVM, MS DACVR
Dr. Karen Morrow DVM, MS, DACVR is a board certified specialist in radiology and ultrasonography. She performs ultrasounds and echocardiograms at our hospital by appointment.She also provides second opinions to some of our xrays. Most clients prefer to have this service done in house at our hospital as opposed to taking their pet to a specialist.
